These could be Considered better than new caps because they ve been broken in for several years and proven not to have the defective electrolyte. The marantz Nichiren caps weigh 1lb.

I have this good pair of marantz Nippon Chemi Con electrolytic capacitors with no bulging vent tops caused by expanding electrolyte gasses. The caps were removed from recently operating marantz receivers because the receivers are too heavy for me to handle as a unit. You are purchasing the capacitors shown in the pictures.

I have about six or seven sr18to pull caps from which I will save a few sets for future possible warranty replacement purposes. The caps have been recently re tested with several charge and discharge cycles with no sign of any problems. Because of the time period of manufacturing, these caps are sometimes plagued with bulging tops.
